I'd love to own both in the end, but to get started, which one should I invest in to get a NICE one first? I have a hammy-down acoustic that belonged to my grandfather, so it's not a super nice one. My mom thinks I should invest my money in a nice acoustic because "i don't need an electric, because i'm not going to be playing in a rock band!" ha. I love how she says things that feel like daggers in my heart because that's exactly what i was hoping, that I could get some friends together and have a band. So much with that because it'll end up turning into my mom telling me 'I shouldn't lower myself to such a low potential. I have so much going for me, so why would I waste myself by putting myself in some low-life band?' oh well. back to my question. Like I said, she wants me to invest in an acoustic, but I want a nice starter electric. Should I just do what my mom said and get a nice acoustic or should I follow what I think will make me happy in the end, even if it ends up getting me in fights with my mom, and get an electric? I have a really crappy acoustic and my grandfather's old acoustic (Its a Jester if anyone knows the quality of that)... Read More »
